My name is Phoebe Grace.
I am a Writer, Editor and perennial over-thinker.
I write to understand and edit to illuminate.
My Past, Present & Future
While I grew up an avid bookworm with a love for collecting journals, I originally strived to be like Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds or Clarice Starling from Silence of the Lambs. That being said, I earned my BS in Clinical Psychology. However, upon working in the industry, I quickly realized that life is too short to not do what one is truly passionate about, and for me that is writing.
I began to hone my craft in 2016 by taking creative writing courses. Since then, I have continued to participate in workshops, attend local literary events and engage in certificate programs to further my education. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of interning at different establishments, gaining valuable knowledge hands-on from leaders in the industry.
Currently, I work at the intersection of ideas and language, helping individuals, brands and organizations shape their narratives with intention, clarity and authenticity. I offer an array of writing and editorial services to empower others.
When I am not immersed in my work, I am geocaching through forgotten paths, rescuing old furniture from dusty corners, performing at open mic nights, or bugging my beautiful boyfriend and our furbabies.

What are your turnaround times?
Both my editorial and writing services are entirely project-dependent.
That being said, I strongly encourage you to message me for a free consultation/estimate.
Editorial Turnaround Times
On average, a person can read 200 words-per-minute (WPM). Depending on the content, I can read between 400-500 WPM with 90+ percent comprehension. That being said, my editorial turnaround times are significantly faster than average.
Writing Turnaround Times
My writing turnaround times are entirely project-dependent. I can easily turnaround a resume and/or cover letter in less than 24 hours whereas a detailed marketing campaign project involving several pieces of content may take a week or several months depending on several factors.
How much do you charge?
Editorial Pricing
For my editorial services, I charge per word versus hourly to provide you fair, competitive pricing personalized to your project.
Since I do not offer flat rates, I cannot say: “Proofreading costs $0.01 per word.”
What I am more likely to say is: “Your novel currently contains 4,000 words and you need substantive editing? That will be between $0.30-0.50 per word. Let’s hone your expectations to settle on a contracted rate.”
Here are average rates for popular services:
- Proofreading = $0.01-0.19
- Light copyediting or line editing = $0.20-0.24
- Medium copyediting, line editing or developmental editing = $0.25-0.29
- Heavy copyediting, line editing, developmental editing or substantive editing = $0.30-0.50

Writing Services
For my writing services, I charge per project. Writing a resume or cover letter is vastly different than writing a technical document or creative marketing material. Different services require different requirements and have varying time commitments.
For example, I would charge $5.00-10.00 for a resume and $50.00+ for a project involving substantial web copy (ex. 3+ pages of SEO-filled web copy).
When I price a project, I consider the:
- Scope of work
- Type of content
- Time commitment or requested turnaround time
- Clients budget
