Perspective

Going 90 in a 45 is never a good idea.

That’s what you think when you envision yourself pulled over. Red and blue lights waltz in your rearview mirror. A young man slugs over the way cops do during graveyard shifts. He asks if you know how fast you were going.

“Sir, it’s 12 A.M. and I’m the only one on the road.”

You’re not wrong. You wondered if you were the last person alive while driving until you got pulled over.

“You could’ve hurt yourself.”

Huh. You’ve never thought about it that way.
